| Vitamin B12 is responsible for cellular
division, an activity carried on by every living cell. Tissues which divide more rapidly
depend heavily on adequate levels of Vitamin B12: the blood, immune and skin cells, and
also the cells that line the intestines. It's required for: the development of red blood cells in the marrow (often called the "red wonder vitamin"), normal growth, and the production of myelin (a chronic deficiency of it will lead to severe and irreversible nerve damage) which is a sheath in our nervous system. Also needed to utilize Folic Acid. Vegetarians should pay special attention to their B12 needs as there are no supplies of it in vegetables, fruits, or grains. Based on scientific review and clinical experience, it appears to be valuable for anxiety, depression, B12 anemia and emotional or physical stress. It has no known side effects.
