It has been considered an "herb of love" for centuries. The famous French herbalist, Maurice Mességué, has used it to help couples retrieve marital bliss. He advises to sprinkle some Savory powder on all meat dishes. It has 5 essential protein chains very similar to meat, so it is a great provider of proteins for vegetarians. For impotent men and frigid women he advises them to run the base of their spine with a decoction of Savory and Fenugreek. Simmer 3½ tablespoons of Fenugreek for five minutes covered in one quart (~ one liter) of boiling water. Remove from heat and add two handfuls of Savory. Steep for 50 minutes. Drink two cups before retiring to bed.
