They use the finest 100% Arabica beans available for all of the quality coffees.
All coffees are available in either a 5 (or 4 as noted) pound, heat sealed, poly-valve bag or a 1 pound, poly-lined tin tie bag. The 5 pound bag features a resealable top to keep the bag closed after opening. The 1 pound bag features a gold tin tie for re-sealing. All coffees are shipped in whole bean form unless grinding is requested ($0.50/5 lbs).

What type of bean do you flavor?
Some lower grade specialty coffees use a cheap grade, filler coffee as their base and then over-flavor to cover up the taste of the bad coffee. Fortune uses their Special Gourmet House Blend which has a great, full flavor and then add just enough flavoring to accent the cup!  What is decaf SW or decaf EP?
Cafe Amaretto Flavored Coffee

What exactly is a 'cup'?

A 'cup' in coffee terms equates to 5 oz. of brewed coffee. Many have the perception that a 'cup' is 8 oz. or 10 oz. and wonder why they don't get 10-12 servings from their home coffee machine! When brewing coffee you should use about ¼ oz. of grounds per 'cup' served.

Tips on brewing great coffee: 1) Use good water - filtered or spring. 2) Use two tablespoons ground coffee per 6 ounce cup. Adjust to taste. 3) Serve fresh. 4) Re-seal bag tightly by folding down ties or expelling air through the bag valve.

100% naturally decaffeinated coffees using the Swiss Water Process method. Gift pack contains two Colombian Supremo packs, one Decaf Hazelnut and one Decaf Irish Creme. Hunter green foil bags are packed in a gold embossed, hunter green gift box.		  

Decaffeinated Coffee Processes
There are two methods that are used to remove caffeine. The Swiss Water Process (SW) is a 100% natural decaffeination process which uses only water and charcoal filtration to remove the caffeine from the coffee bean (similar to a water purifier). The green beans are soaked in a hot water bath to extract the oils and caffeine from the bean.  This water & caffeine is filtered through an active carbon filter to remove the caffeine.  The bean is then re-soaked in the "caffeine-free" bath to re-absorb the oils & then it is dried.
Most commercial grade decaf coffees are processed with the economical European Process (EP). It's similar to SW process but uses methyl-chloride to remove the caffeine from the coffee bean. Although 99.8% is removed prior to the re-soaking.
All the coffees below use the SW process unless marked EP.
