| When made into a tea, and drank warm to cool, it
helps reduce fevers and relieve cramps, besides being good for bronchitis, irregular
menstruation, childhood diseases such as mumps and measles. Make a tea by boiling a pint of water, remove from heat and add one level teaspoon each of Marjoram and Oregano into an infuser/strainer. Stir well, cover and let steep for 30 minutes. Refrigerate and use only that amount to be consumed. Generally one cup 2-3 times daily. The British munch on Marjoram sandwiches to treat indigestion and use a diluted tea to relieve colic in infants. An aromatic mint, it has digestion-soothing benefits similar to Peppermint's. As a spice, it is used as a flavor ingredient in most food categories, including alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, frozen dairy desserts, candy, baked goods, gelatins and puddings, meat and meat products, condiments and relishes, etc.
