Coriander is carminative, antiseptic, bactericidal, fungicidal and a muscle relaxant. Contains twenty chemicals with antibacterial action and 2.2 percent bactericidal compounds. It may be used to alleviate body and underarm odor. One way to use this deodorant herb is to powder it and rub it on the skin. Or make a tea and moist a towel and use it as a compress for a few minutes. Additionally, you can add it to your bath--place in cloth bag and run hot water over it. For greater effect you may also want to add Licorice, Oregano, Rosemary, Sage and Thyme. Traditional herbalists valued Coriander especially for counteracting stomach-upsets caused by laxative herbs such as Buckthorn, Cascara, Rhubarb and Senna. Helpful in restoring menstrual flow in women. Also includes at least five anti-asthmatic substances. It adds a fresh, spice flavor to soups and stews. It is a main ingredient to chili sauces, curries and exotic dishes.
