Notes

Often
used in teas. It’s beneficial during
pregnancy. Do not take the oil internally. |
One of the most popular herbs used in the US
today. Europeans have long used Chamomile for its soothing and calming effects and as a
natural herbal remedy for stress, tension (and its associated conditions such as,
indigestion, a nervous stomach and diarrhea), migraines and insomnia.
It can also
relieve menstrual cramps, sore muscles, and gas. Chamomile extract is used to treat skin
irritations. Other benefits of Chamomile include easing back pain, treating kidney and bladder
problems, and helping break high fever.
For allergies and sinus infections: use as an inhalant by making a pot of Chamomile
tea, put a heavy bath towel over your head and inhaling with your face about 8-10 inches
above the pot or a pan for about 12-15 minutes.
A weak preparation of Chamomile tea is a safe remedy for calming irritable children and
colicky or teething babies.
When the face is washed with Chamomile tea several times a week, it will show a
healthier and softer glow. The same tea also make a wonderful hair conditioner, especially
for blond hair, making it more manageable and shinier.
Chamomile cream helps to treat a number of skin problems, from flaky scariness and
inflammation to wrinkles and stretch marks. And to help soothe tired, irritated eyes, just
soak some Chamomile tea bags in a little ice water and then apply to the eyelids for
incredible relief. This is especially good to do during allergy season.
German Chamomile tea is capable of regeneration or producing brand-new liver tissue.
It's recommended to take six cups of tea every other day or 3-4 cups per day.
Beneficial for those with degenerative liver diseases, such as
infectious hepatitis or the more deadly AIDS virus.
Not recommened to be used during
pregnancy.
