tea, Caraway helps improve digestion, expel gas, and nausea . An emmenagogue, it may also
help in amenorrhea. For those troubled by your delayed menstrual cycle, try a tea consisting of a teaspoon of Caraway seed, half small chopped carrot and celery, and half teaspoon ground Ginger. Bring a quart (~liter) of water to a boil, add above items, cover and simmer on low heat for 25 minutes. Add 1 teaspoon each of fresh chopped Parsley, fresh Watercress, dried Peppermint and Yarrow. Cover and steep for 20 minutes more. Strain and sweeten with honey and add flavor with a few pinches of Cinnamon. Drink three cups daily on an empty stomach. Also helps relieve uterine cramps, promote breast milk and clear away mucus from the back of the throat. To prevent heartburn, acid indigestion and gas, bring two cups water to a boil, add four teaspoons slightly pounded seeds then simmer for five minutes. Steep away from heat for 15 minutes more. Sweeten and drink one cup with each meal. Small amounts may be given to infants suffering from intestinal gas.
