Used
mainly to treat skin problems like ringworm, the Black Walnut tree’s bark,
leaves, liquid extract and fruit rind have been known to relieve
constipation, fungal and parasitic infection, headaches, mouth sores, and
warts. It fights bacteria, is a gentle laxative and may be used as a
treatment to shrink tissue, including hemorrhoids.
One impressive study shows that
the fresh husk of the Black Walnut destroyed candida better than commonly prescribed
antifungal drugs.
Make a tincture by combining one ounce of Black Walnut husk, a few drops
each of Lavender flowers,
Valerian root
and Pau d'Arco, with ten added drops of
Tea Tree oil.
