Aromatherapy is the practice of using fragrant, pure essential oils to enhance the body, mind and spirit. The ancient Egyptians used aromatic spices and oils in cosmetics, religious rituals and as medicine. The use of aromatics was also prevalent in the Greek and Roman civilizations. Today essential oils are used to promote emotional wellness by calming, relaxing, rejuvenating or energizing. While aromatherapy may involve training and in-depth knowledge of the properties and effects of essential oils, it may also be practiced simply and safely to add beautiful aromas to our environment each day.
Essential oils and absolutes are volatile, fragrant liquid plant essences extracted from a single plant source. These oils are very potent and should always be used sparingly and in conjunction with a reliable reference. Pregnant women should be especially when using pure essential oils. Do not apply essential oils directly to skin, but dilute them in a carrier oil, such as vegetable oil, so the oil comprises 2-3% of the blend. People with skin sensitivities should test a drop on the inner arm before using.

Oils should be stored in a light-proof, tightly sealed glass containers with their temperature maintained at 60 to 70 degrees Fahrenheit. Under these storage conditions most oils will stay fresh for up to three years. Citrus oils may have shorter shelf lives (up to 1 and a half years), because they are expressed from the fruit peel and contain less stable materials.

For external use only! They are very potent and should be used sparingly. They should be properly diluted. Ingesting some oils can cause health problems or death, so please keep them out of the reach of children. Please follow and use according to directions on bottle. It is suggested and helpful to use with a reliable reference.
