    General Q & A

    Q. Can you provide me with a catalog?

    A.  Although we sincerely appreciate your interest in all-natural products, we do not produce a hard copy, paper catalog. We save lots of trees that way!  The web site is a new medium and our "catalog".  We sell too many items and inventory and availability is constantly changing. You'll get a better idea of what we're all about if starting from our home page, www.herbalhut.comI recommend and encourage you to use all of our Search function.     Q. How do I check the shipping charges?

    A.  The shipping charges are added in the checkout  process after you enter your address. You need not finalize order to check costs.  Sometimes the tables may not recognize your shipping address and give you a general shipping charge.  This mainly happens for overseas orders.  In these cases we reserve the right to adjust the shipping charges.  We charge the exact shipping costs as specified in the UPS and USA USPS/International USPS published rates.  You may check their web site to check shipping costs (click name). We ship from Salisbury, MD 21804 USA.

    Q. Web pages don't seem to look right or text is hard to read.  How can I make them better?

    A.  Although we try to provide a comfortable shopping experience, it is sometimes difficult to convey the "message" considering the many different types of platforms available today.  Here are a few things you can try to alleviate some problems.  If the text seems to small to read, some browsers provide an option to change the size of the default fonts (in IE, select "View>Text Size).

    A. Please understand that we cannot prescribe, diagnose or treat any disease or illness. Questions pertaining to nutritional intervention for the prevention or treatment of a disease cannot be answered by us. Questions oriented to prescribing or diagnosing an illness are best addressed by a healthcare practitioner.

    Q. Why do some supplements have wording (a disclaimer) that says: "This statement has not been evaluated by the FDA. This product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease"?

    A.  This statement or "disclaimer" is required by law (DSHEA) when a manufacturer makes a structure/function claim on a dietary supplement label. In general, these claims describe the role of a nutrient or dietary ingredient intended to affect the structure or function of the body. The manufacturer is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and truthfulness of these claims; they are not approved by FDA. For this reason, the law says that if a dietary supplement label includes such a claim, it must state in a "disclaimer" that FDA has not evaluated this claim. The disclaimer must also state that this product is not intended to "diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease," because only a drug can legally make such a claim.

    A.  Most likely you are being presented with some options to choose, such as Size or Quantity Options using a drop-down or radio menu.  One or more options must be selected in order to be added to your cart.

    Q. I've lost my password. Where do I go to retrieve my password?

    Q. How can I check the status of my order?

    A.  Visit "My Account" page to view order status, order history, edit profile, access My Wish List, view and print out invoice and access your address book.

    Q.  How do I return products?

    A.  We strive to gain 100% of your satisfaction. But some products may not live up to your expectations or we may ship the wrong item!  We offer this simple returns policy. Simply return any item(s) you are not happy within 30 days of receipt.  A ten (10%) percent restocking fee will apply to all returns and you are responsible for the return shipping charges, unless we shipped the incorrect item(s).  Please use sturdy packaging or the original shipping containers and insurance is recommended if shipping via USPS.     Please include a note with reason of return, and action you want us to take.

    Please email as soon as possible if what you received is not to your satisfaction.  We will not accept returns after 30 days of receipt of product.  Please provide a brief explanation and the course of action, i.e. credit/refund your charge account or send check; exchange for another item or if broken, exchange for another item.  You must file a claim with the carrier if arrived broken and sent insured. Only UPS includes free (covers up to $100) insurance.
