Wick
recommendations are based on using paraffin wax and may need
adjustment for other types. Test burning your candles is
recommended and adjust the wick size if necessary. If the
wick extinguishes itself -- use a larger or hotter burning wick.
If your candle is burning too hot and your wick needs to be
trimmed frequently or mushrooms -- use a smaller or cooler
burning wick.

wick pin system for all
molds This great system makes pouring pillar candles fast and
easy! Great for production pouring and very easy to use for the
hobbyist candlemaker, too. Molds will be leakproof and the
finished candles will look as professional as candles made in
production machines. STEP 1. Start with a mold, a wick pin, some mold seal and
primed wick.
STEP 2. Place a small amount of mold seal around the base of the
wick pin and insert the pin into the mold. The wick
pin makes a nice base for the mold too.
STEP 3. Align your mold
and wick pin so that the pin is in the center of the mold and
pour in your wax. Repour as needed after candle cools.
STEP 4. After candle
cools, slide the wick pin out of the mold and remove your candle
from the mold. Primed wick can easily be inserted through the
candle and can be secured at the bottom of the candle with a
wick tab or
burning instruction label.
